2010 National Championships Wild Card Applications.

Riders who didn’t compete in their state titles and are wishing to compete in the 2010 National championships MUST obtain a wildcard to enter the 2010 National Championships.

For the 2010 National Championships riders & State Officiating Directors must follow the below list of steps to apply for a Wild Card:-

1. Riders must fill in the Wild Card application form and provide any supporting documents.

2. The form is then sent by 5th Feb 2009 to:

Your State Officiating Director

3. The State Officiating Director will then evaluate each Wild Card entry on its own merits and decide if it will be supported.

4. If the Wild Card is supported, the State Officiating Director is to sign the bottom of the form and send it back to the rider. If it is unsupported the SOD should return the form to the rider leaving the bottom of the form blank, they should also provide details to the rider as to why it has not been supported.

5. Riders will then need to attach the approved Wild Card form to their 2010 Nationals Entry Form when it is sent to the National office.

PLEASE NOTE - RIDERS WHO HAVE RECEIVED A WILD CARD CAN NOT ENTER ONLINE they must enter with entry form and attached the wild card to the form.

6. SOD will send a copy of the Wild Card application to the BMXA office and a copy to the National Officiating Director (approved or not)

7. Each state must send into the BMXA office a list of who attended their State Titles so names can be check.

Following are the conditions under which a wildcard entry can be considered:-

• Medical- must have completed state title application forms

• Travel- You are Interstate or travelling international when your state titles are being held.

• Bereavement / Compassionate on the grounds that you must of entered in your home state titles.

· Exceptional circumstances - as deemed by your states SOD.

All Wild Card entries will be considered on their own merits

Please note any rider who sends in an entry form for the National Championships without an approved wild card application and who did not compete at their State Titles will be rejected and will not be entered for the Championships.
