Overview

The National Dynamite series is an initiative by BMX Australia and the States for riders to compete in their own State series and qualify for the National final of the Dynamite series at the 2012 National Championships.

This series will showcase the best riders in their age group from all around Australia, competing at the Nationals for the chance to be BMX Australia National Dynamite Series Champion and encourages the riders to take the step up into the Probikx/ Champbikx Series when they are older.

Please Note: The series leading up to the Nationals is run by the State Organisations and there may be variations from State to State with regards to the race criteria.

Age Classes
This series is for riders aged 11, 12 and 13 at the National Championships each year.

BMX Victoria Guidelines

The Victorian State Dynamite Series 2011/2012 will be run over five rounds.

      • Round 1 Wyndham  September 4th
      • Round 2 Bendigo  September 11th
      • Round 3 South Eastern October 2nd
      • Round 4 Knox   November 5th & 6th
      • Round 5 Shepparton November 19th BMXV State Titles

       

  • The Series Coordinator will be the State Team Manager.
  • The State Team Manager will keep an up to date record of results from each round. These will be forwarded to BMX Australia after each round and published on the BMXV website.
  • Riders must compete within these State criteria to be awarded the Series winner. These criteria will be published on the BMXV website www.bmxv.com.au .
  • Points will be awarded for Moto`s and Finals.  50% for Moto`s and 50% for Finals.
    The final round will be run at the 2011 DK Bicycles Victorian Open on the Saturday.  The top 8 point scorers from each class will run one race for final points
  • Riders from other States can compete in the Victorian Dynamite Series, however; only Victorian riders will be awarded the points for the State series.
  • At the end of the Victorian Dynamite Series the State will nominate the three riders for each age and gender class who will compete at the final at the National Titles on Probikx/Champbikx day. The names of these riders will be sent to the BMXA office by close of entries.
  • To qualify for a top three position riders must intend to nominate for the 2012 National Championships.
  • Prior to the last round of the Victorian series all riders who can qualify in the top three will be asked to confirm to BMXV that they are intending to compete at the 2012 National Championships. Riders who are not intending to enter the Nationals will be noted in the series points as “Not Qualified.
  • In the event that any of the top three riders are unable to compete at the National Championships, suitable replacements will be appointed by the Selection Committee which will comprise of BMXV Board members, the State Team Manager and State Coach.
  • Any substitute riders will be selected on the basis of whom the Selection Committee believes to have the best chance of scoring the most points for the State. The Committee’s decision will be final.
  • There will be no nomination (entry) fee for the riders to enter into the Dynamite finals at the BMXV State Titles or the BMXA National Titles.
  • At the National Titles, riders will use the same transponder and race plate as they do in their National’s race classes.
  • The BMXV State coaches will be involved in preparing the riders for the finals at the Nationals.
  • Time trials will determine seeding for riders at the Nationals, replicating the structure of the Probikx/ Champbikx Series.
  • Riders will ride in State shirts at the National Titles. State Shirts will be designed and organised by BMXV.
  • Presentation of National Dynamite Series Winners will be at the Probikx /Chambikx awards night.
  • BMXV will organise a profile of each rider for the awards night and send it to BMXA. It is a condition of entry that parents/guardians agree to assist in this process.
  • All Series winners to be given an invitation to the awards night.
  • Each First place winner will receive a trophy and a prize, with 2nd and 3rd place also being recognised at the Awards Evening.
  • A State team trophy will be awarded as well.
