KNOX Bushfire Appeal Race 28th February - On Saturday night 28th February Knox will be hosting a benefit race meeting, the proceeds of which will be going to the Red Cross bush fire appeal. Registration will be 6.00 - 7.00 with racing at 7.30.

It will be a great. evening of racing plus an auction thrown in. Fun is guaranteed, but by participating you'll be supporting our brother and sister Victorians in the bushfire affected regions so close to us here in Melbourne. We will also be raffling a lawn mower (see the attached Flyer for more information).
BMX Australia have thrown their weight behind this; they are making a direct donation to the fund, plus have donated a real collectible framed World Championship jersey, signed by Australian BMX greats such as Luke Madill, Kamakaze, Tanya Bailey and so on.
Best of all, BMXA and their insurers, Willis Insurance, have kindly given a once-off special dispensation to allow riders who only have a Club licence to compete at this meeting, irrespective of which club they belong to.
Please, please please support this event. This is a great chance for each one of you to do the right thing, but have a fun night at the same time.

Geelong Masters Games and Clubby: Geelong BMX Club will be hosting the 12th Australian Masters Games BMX & MTB 4x race event on the 22nd of February. Entries for this event have now closed, but we will be conducting a clubby in conjunction with it. Riders can pre enter or enter on the day for the clubby, costing $5 per class.Everyone is welcome, so why not come and get some practice before the Geelong Spectacular. Cycleskill Coaching Course: BMX Australia/Cycling Australia are conducting a one day Cycleskill Coaching Course. On successful completion of this course, new coaches will be able to coach sprockets and novices. The course will b e run on Sunday February 22nd at the Darebin International Sports Centre. BMXV End of Season Event - ALL PROCEEDS NOW TO GO TO THE VICTORIAN BUSH FIRE APPEAL: On the 14th of February we are holding our BMXV Rider of the year night. All proceeds from this night will now be donated to the Victorian Bush Fire Appeal. We will be Auctioning Jerseys signed by the 2009 BMXV State Team, one signed by Dave O'Neil, Ian Dicko Dickson and Chrisy Swan from Vega FM Breakfast and one signed by Dave Hughes Kate Landbooke and Ed Kavalee from Nova Breakfast. Also the company I work for Ariens/Gravely are donating a LM21SW walk behind Lawn Mower valued at $1500 that will be raffled on the night. So get behind this night Victorian BMX Community. If we can not get 150 people at this thing we are not trying. Tickets are $40 each and available at the door on the night.
